I moved the db.org domain to GoDaddy back in 2005/2006 in a desperate attempt to escape the predatory “competitive practise” of VeriSign/Network Solutions and the limitless incompetence of register.com. Apparently Samir Meghani at the Bountii Team Blog decided on surrendering to Microsoft and Bing Cashback.
